The best way out is to get away from the place. But if you can’t, give it your best shot. Strike exposed parts of the assailant such as the face, eyes and neck with the intent to cripple.

Sympathy will not take you anywhere in such a situation. Hit and flee to safety. Do not prolong the fight.

Grab hold of the attacker’s arm and deflect it to any side by using your hand and stomp on his foot. This will throw the assailant off-balance.

Place a hard punch on either side of the ribs of the attacker —this would leave him short of breath and give you the chance to flee.

If the attacker goes for your neck, use your hands to block him and then grab his head before you smash your knee into his mid-riff.

Step back and place your leg behind his. Then, use your leg to swipe his leg off the ground and throw him off balance. This will buy you time to flee.

As you grab the attacker’s hand, twist the arm and push him forward. Use your elbow to strike on his neck, the most fragile part of the body.
