I-Day: Brief train service suspension between Delhi-Shahdara

In view of the Independence Day celebrations, Railways have decided to suspend train operation between Delhi Junction and Shahdara for two-and-a-half hours on Sunday.

In view of the Independence Day celebrations, Railways have decided to suspend train operation between Delhi Junction and Shahdara for two-and-a-half hours on Sunday.

Train services will remain suspended in the section from 6 am to 8.30 am in view of the Independence Day ceremony at Red Fort, said a Northern Railway spokesperson.

He said due to the suspension, several trains will either be diverted or regulated at various places.

Trains that will be regulated include Delhi Jn-Alipurduar Sikkim Mahananda express, Kalka-Howrah Mail, Guwahati-bound Avadh Assam Express, Azamgarh-Delhi Kaifiyat Express, Pratapgarh-Delhi Jn Padmavat Express and Dehradun- Delhi Sarai Rohilla Mussorie Express, among others.

On the other hand, Delhi-Kotdwar Garhwal Express train will be diverted via New Delhi-Tilak Bridge-Sahibabad, the spokesperson said.
