Thousands of IAC members, led by Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Prashant Bhushan, Gopal Rai and Kumar Vishwas, were arrested when they tried to picket residences of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and BJP chief Nitin Gadkari on August 26 to protest alleged irregularities in coal block allocations.

"26 August ko shantipurn andolan karne wale logo par danga failane ka FIR. Hum maafi nahi mangenge. Bail nahi lenge. Jail Jayange (Police has filed FIR against us despite our peaceful agitation on August 26. We will not apologise, we will not ask for bail. We are ready to go to jail)," said an IAC statement.
