Indian airlines’ plea to SC

The Federation of Indian Airlines on Tuesday pleaded before the Supreme Court that ground handling at airports is part of the aviation business and the government cannot take it away from them.

The federation said that their efficiency and time-bound services would be adversely affected if handling duties is taken over by the government. It also refuted Centre’s contention that this is done for security.
