'Indian Army ready for threat from Pakistan spillover'

The Indian Army on Monday said it was ready to deal with any "spillover effect" of the terror attack on a police academy in Pakistan.

The Indian Army on Monday said it was ready to deal with any "spillover effect" of the terror attack on a police academy in Pakistan.

"Situation in Pakistan is a matter of concern for us. But we are prepared at all times (to deal with) if there is any spillover to this side," Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Nobel Thamburaj said in New Delhi.

Terrorists on Monday stormed the police academy in Lahore, close to the Wagah border of India, killing 27 people and taking over 800 hostage. Later, the Pakistani security forces stormed the academy, killing four terrorists and capturing three alive.
