Additional Sessions Judge Virender Bhat jailed Ramesh Kumar and Vikash, both 24, for four years after convicting them on charges of making an unintentional bid on the victim's life during the fight.
The judge convicted the duo, noting that “first altercation took place... at a rehri (hand-cart) at a Friday market where both parties were having eggs...”
The incident dates back to 2007 when Palam Colony residents Kumar and Vikash were having eggs at a hand-cart shop. Accidentally, the victim's hand fell on Kumar's plate, leading to the fall of the egg and triggering the altercation.
After the victim left the market, the two accused, along with a dozen accomplices, tracked him and gave him a severe beating using bricks and stones, causing serious injuries including several fractures.
