Jamia student finalist at photo award

A student from Jamia Millia Islamia has been chosen to represent India at the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards 2013. He was one of the 10 finalists from over 230 universities all over the world. HT reports.

A student from Jamia Millia Islamia has been chosen to represent India at the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards 2013. He was one of the 10 finalists from over 230 universities all over the world.

Anshul Mehrotra's picture titled 'Over the top' depicting Chhath Puja celebrations was chosen as one of the finalists for the Student Focus Award.

His picture will be showcased at the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition in London from 26 April to 12 May.

The winner will receive €35,000 worth of Sony digital imaging equipment.
