Jaswant files papers for V-P poll
Backed by the NDA senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh filed his nomination papers for the vice-presidential elections on Friday.

Backed by the NDA senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh filed his nomination papers for the vice-presidential elections on Friday.
Three sets of papers backing Singh's candidature - one each by LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Yashwant Sinha - were submitted before returning officer TK Vishwanath.
After submitting his papers, 74-year-old Singh said the elections to the offices of the President and vice-president were "historic moments".
Anxious not to allow a walkover for Ansari, the NDA decided to put up a fight by fielding Singh.
"The elections will be very interesting. Let us wait for the outcome", BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said.
