'Karunanidhi beneficiary of scam money'
The BJP on Monday asked why the CBI had not named Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal in the second chargesheet in the 2G spectrum scam, saying the agency should tell if it was facing political pressure.

BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said, "The 60% shareholder (in Kalaignar TV) Dayalu Ammal has not been named. We wonder if there was political pressure on CBI...."
Stepping up its attack on the DMK, AIADMK chief J Jayalalitha alleged that Karunanidhi was a direct beneficiary of spectrum scam kickbacks and said Dayalu Ammal’s stake in Kalaignar TV represented the stake of Karunanidhi and his sons.
The second chargesheet in the scam presented by the CBI opens up several issues, Jayalalithaa said in a press statement in Chennai and added that it indicated a clear kickback link now established between some key beneficiaries of the spectrum largesse doled out by then Raja and Karunanidhi's family.
