Sensing the need for political empowerment of the community and emphasizing that the time has come to be proactive, AIKS president Moti Kaul said: “If there is any resolution as far as return (of Kashmiri Pandits to the Kashmir valley) is concerned, it can happen only if we are politically empowered.”

Calling Kashmiris forced to be away from Kashmir for two decades as “shame for all of us”, Union Home Secretary G.K. Pillai said no resolution (to the Valley problem) is possible without the participation of Kashmiri Pandits.
