MCD’s Education Committee chairman Mahendra Nagpal on Tuesday said that there will be 23 days of winter vacation this year as there were lesser holidays during Diwali and Dussehra.

“During the next two working days, schools in the morning shift will open at 8 am instead of 7.30 am and will continue till 12.30 pm. In the schools running only in one shift, the classes would take place from 8 am till 1 pm,” Nagpal said.

The Delhi government had also, at the beginning of this year, told all schools that the winter vacations would be increased due to the cold.
