A politician and a businessman. A Bihari from Madhubani, he is popularly known as “Dilli's Lalu” among his voters. His hairstyle and style of talking has an uncanny resemblance to RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav. A self confessed fan of Prasad, Mishra says, “It’s true that I like Laluji. But it would be wrong to say I imitate his mannerisms and his hairstyle. What can I do if my hair has turned white?”
Education: A graduate in science from Muzaffarpur, UP.
Political career: He first contested elections in 1998. Before politics, Mishra worked in the Army as a wireless operator. He left the Army in 1982 to start a flourishing footwear business.
Family: Wife Urmila is a homemaker. They have one daughter and two sons. A family man to the core, Mishra likes to spend whatever little time he has at home..
