At a meeting on Monday with the mall managers, the administration said that it had found CCTV cameras were not functioning in some places, while in others, security guards were not properly checking the visitors’ bags. Cyber cafes were found allowing visitors to use their facilities without verifying their ID proof.

The malls managers have been asked to spruce up their security arrangements by July 31.
