Mamata sacks chairmen of all RRBs

Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has removed the chairmen of all Railway Recruitment Boards appointed by her predecessor Lalu Prasad Yadav and appointed new heads, media reports said.

Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has removed the chairmen of all Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) appointed by her predecessor Lalu Prasad Yadav, media reports said.

Highly-placed sources in the Indian Railways said that new chairmen for all RRBs have been appointed for the next three years.

This move has come amid a decision to revamp the recruitment process in the Railways.

RRBs were assigned responsibility of carrying out recruitment of Group C and Group D staff for vacancies in divisions and zones allocated to them.
