Man robbed in East Delhi

A bookie was allegedly robbed of his gold chain and Rs 35,000 in cash at gunpoint by two bike-borne assailants in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar on Friday morning. HT reports.

A bookie was allegedly robbed of his gold chain and Rs 35,000 in cash at gunpoint by two bike-borne assailants in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar on Friday morning. Police said Ashok alias Balli was on a bike with his nephew when they were waylaid by the assailants. Balli, who is a registered history sheeter at the Gandhi Nagar police station, has alleged that he was robbed in the presence of two police personnel. The police are verifying his allegations.
