The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has decided to make the granting of hawking licences a strict affair. “The new parameters will help us regulate hawking activities in areas under the civic body’s jurisdiction ahead of the Commonwealth Games,” a senior MCD official said. The civic agency has already received 16,496 applications for hawking licence this year.
