Mercury dips in Capital

Delhiites woke up to a relatively cold with the mercury recording a drop and the weather office predicting clear skies.

Delhiites woke up to a relatively cold Thursday with the mercury recording a drop and the weather office predicting clear skies.

The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for this time of the season. Delhi on Wednesday recorded a minimum of 10.6 degrees Celsius.

"With clear skies, the day temperature is likely to drop in the capital. There is a possibility of shallow fog over the capital on Friday," a met official said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Friday are likely to settle at 24 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius respectively.

The coldest day of the season so far was November 28 when the minimum temperature dropped to 7.9 degrees Celsius.
