Chilly winds swept the capital on Tuesay morning as the minimum temperature dipped to 8.8 degrees Celsius.

A shallow fog also enveloped some parts of the city.
The minimum temperature recorded on Monday was 9.6 degree Celsius, while the maximum hovered around 23.4 degrees, Met office said.
The weatherman attributed the drop in temperature to the Western Disturbances which is passing through northern India.
The maximum temperature is expected to be around 24 degree Celsius tomorrow, while the minimum is predicted to be around eight degrees, the Met office said.
