Met dept says rain likely on Tuesday

The city witnessed yet another hot and humid day on Sunday as the maximum temperature at Safdarjung was recorded at 40.2 degrees Celsius, a degree above normal.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at Palam that saw the mercury touch 42.4 degrees.

The minimum temperature too was high at 30.2 degrees, two degrees above normal. The maximum humidity was recorded at 74%.

While the weather conditions are expected to be similar on Monday, Tuesday is expected to bring along rain and cooler weather.

On Monday, the temperature is expected to be between 41 and 31 degrees Celsius and an overcast sky with a thunderstorm is expected.

On Tuesday, however, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 36 and 30 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature will be on the higher side due to an overcast sky.
