Minor killed, 5 hurt in motorbike blast

A six-year-old girl died and five others were injured after a motorcycle parked in the house caught fire and exploded at Sector Eta on Saturday.

A six-year-old girl died and five others were injured after a motorcycle parked in the house caught fire and exploded at Sector Eta on Saturday. "The girl was identified as Sonam (6), daughter of Pappu Singh. The injured were Ram Snehi, Lakhi Chand and three others," said DSP RN Mishra. "There was no power connection in the house. The fuel tank of the bike had a leakage. When someone went near the bike with a lit candle, the fuel on the floor caught fire and the bike exploded,” said the police.
