The 10-day baby, now 11, operated upon for relocation of heart at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is stable and breathing without ventilator support.
Hopeful of the child’s healthy survival and long life, doctors are keeping their fingers crossed.
“The child has so far responded extremely well to the procedure and is stable,” said Dr AK Bisoi, Additional Professor, cardiac surgery, who has been in the ICU monitoring the baby for over 24 hours now.
