Sub-Inspector Dalbir, head constable Jiginder and constable Sandeep are with the Delhi armed police, who transport prison inmates in guarded vans.

The officials were suspended on charges of knowing that the 2G accused and Tihar inmate, Rajiv Aggarwal, had a mobile phone in his possession, but not reporting the same to prison authorities.

Guards belonging to the Tamil Nadu Special police recovered a "Blackberry mobile phone device from Rajiv Aggarwal, on Friday evening, when he returned to the jail, after attending a court hearing," said Tihar Jail spokesperson Sunil Gupta.
