Muggy day in Delhi, expect dry Sunday

It was a warm and humid day in the capital Saturday with the humidity settling at a high of 95%. The weather office forecast a dry Sunday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.3 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season, while the minimum settled at 25.7 degrees Celsius.

"The capital did not receive any rainfall during the day and Sunday will also be dry," an India Meteorological Department official said.

The city received 12 mm of rainfall from Friday evening to Saturday morning, he said. The Met office forecast a partly cloudy sky Sunday with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to settle around 34 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees.

The minimum and maximum temperatures Friday were recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, respectively.
