"Two FIRs have been filed yesterday. But certain other sections should also be included. They are section 306 (abetment of suicide), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 166 (public servant disobeying law), 167 (Public servant farming an incorrect document with intent to cause injury)...," NCW Chairperson Girija Vyas said.
A few other sections of Indian Penal Code like 191 (Giving false evidence), 192 (Fabricating false evidence), 195 (Giving or fabricating false evidence with intent to procure conviction of offence punishable with imprisonment for life or imprisonment), 196 (Using evidence known to be false), 201 (Causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender), are also applcable in this case, she said.
Vyas said a fresh FIR should be lodged by the authorities to incorporate these sections.
She also said that the government should pass the sexual offences Bill in order to check such incidents in the future.
