Nine killed in Delhi factory fire

Nine people were killed when a fire broke out at a plastic goods factory in northwest Delhi, fire brigade officials said today.

The blaze erupted at the unit in Udyog Nagar of Peeragarhi at around 7pm on Wednesday and 24 fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames, they said.

It took almost 12 hours for the firefighters to control the fire.

"Nine bodies were recovered from the debris," the official said.
