No decision on calling CMs for probe: CBI

Responding to the article in Friday’s Hindustan Times headlined‘CBI may question CMs of some coal-rich states’, the Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) said no decision had been taken “as of now,” to call chief ministers/ex-chief ministers/certain government public servants for questioning.

Responding to the article in Friday’s Hindustan Times headlined‘CBI may question CMs of some coal-rich states’, the Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) said no decision had been taken “as of now,” to call chief ministers/ex-chief ministers/certain government public servants for questioning.

In a letter to Hindustan Times, the agency said: “Investigation in coal-related probe has just begun. CBI will inform all media of important developments in the case.”

HT’s report was based on conversations with senior government officials who are well informed about developments in the coal scam.
