No visitors for Puri in lock-up
Relatives of Shivraj Puri, who has been lodged in the lockup of DLF City police station and serving police remand since his arrest for 12 days, have deserted him as no one came to meet him for the fear of being arrested.
Relatives of Shivraj Puri, who has been lodged in the lockup of DLF City police station and serving police remand since his arrest for 12 days, have deserted him as no one came to meet him for the fear of being arrested.

Many relatives reportedly are unhappy with his misdeeds that they do not want to maintain contact with Puri family.
Despite hailing from a highly influential family with his relatives at top positions in financial institutions and Indian Army, none of his relatives ever called up the cops for forwarding him a favour, sources said.
It is because of his misdeeds that Citibank, in its police complaint, had named Puri's grandparents Premnath, 92, and Shaila Premnath, 87, as well as his mother Diksha Puri, 57.
A police official said, “Puri's relatives may be shying away from police for two reasons: they fear arrest or intimidation and are unhappy with his actions.”
The brother of Puri’s grandfather was a top-notch official of RBI, while his maternal grandfather is a war hero who was director general of military operations and retired as general-officer-commanding-in-chief, Western Command, about two decades ago. He was also a frontline soldier during the Chinese aggression and 1965 war against Pakistan.
Puri who grew up in Gariahat in Kolkata, had graduated from Leeds University in UK.
