Nomination for Delhi assembly poll begins today

The filing of nomination for the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled to take place on November 29 will start from Tuesday.

The filing of nomination for the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled to take place on November 29 will start from Tuesday. The last date for filing nomination is November 11.

Before the process of filing nomination starts, Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Tejinder Khanna will issue the notification for the assembly elections. The last date for the withdrawal of candidature is November 14.

Counting of votes will be done on December 8. The term of the present Legislative Assembly of Delhi is expiring on December 17.

While the BJP has already declared the first list of 53 candidates, the Congress is yet to formally announce its list of candidates.
