Noted lawyer dead

Noted criminal lawyer of the city and Delhi Bar Council Chairman K.K. Sarin passed away here on Saturday after a brief illness. He was 64. He is survived by wife Kiran, son Aman and daughter Ritu.

Noted criminal lawyer of the city and Delhi Bar Council Chairman K.K. Sarin passed away here on Saturday after a brief illness. He was 64.

He is survived by wife Kiran, son Aman and daughter Ritu.

Sarin was also the former president and secretary of New Delhi Bar Association. “His sad demise is a huge loss to the Bar Council of Delhi as well as the legal fraternity,” the Bar said in a statement. Sarin was cremated at the Lodhi Road crematorium this evening in the presence of Justice A.K. Sikri and Justice Kailash Gambhir of the Delhi High Court, besides a large number of advocates, including Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium.
