NRI couple’s vehicle snatched

Armed men snatched a vehicle in Palam Vihar as its driver sat behind the wheel waiting for its passengers, police said.

Armed men snatched a vehicle in Palam Vihar on Saturday as its driver sat behind the wheel waiting for its passengers, police said.

The Toyota Innova belonged to a Kenya-based NRI couple visiting Ansal’s Chancellor Club in Palam Vihar at the time, police said.

Shrikrishan Balasubramanyam and his wife were inside the club when the driver rushed inside at around 11.30am, saying some men snatched their vehicle at gunpoint. “Immediately I informed police,” said S.D. Sharma, manager at the club. He said the couple, settled in Kenya, would frequent the club during their stay in India.

Police have launched a hunt for the culprits.
