Oberoi Ranthambhore world's best hotel

The Oberoi Group's Vanyavilas Hotel at Ranthambhore has been ranked the best in the world, by the Travel + Leisure magazine. The Amarvilas Hotel in Agra, the Rajvilas Hotel in Jaipur and the Udaivilas Hotel in Udaipur have also been ranked at the fifth, 13th and 15th slots.

The hospitality major also reinforced its position at the top with four of its properties making it to the top 15 list released by the magazine today.

Commenting on the recognition the Oberoi Group chairman PRS Oberoi said, "I am delighted that The Oberoi Vanyavilas has been ranked the best in the world and our four group (hotels) have been ranked amongst the 15 best in the world."

Besides, the Amarvilas Hotel in Agra, the Rajvilas Hotel in Jaipur and the Udaivilas Hotel in Udaipur have also been ranked at the fifth, 13th and 15th slots, respectively, among the world's best hotels in 2010. These Oberoi properties have also bagged the top four slots in Asia.

The rankings are based on the characteristics of rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants, food and value, among other criteria.

Tourism minister Kumari Selja said, "the award is a crowning glory on the story of incredible India."
