Occultist kills boy in UP

A 12-year-boy was allegedly murdered by a youth at the behest of an occultist who claimed that it will cure the ailing children of his relative, official said in Sitapur on Saturday.

A 12-year-boy was allegedly murdered by a youth at the behest of an occultist who claimed that it will cure the ailing children of his relative, official said in Sitapur on Saturday.

Sartaj was allegedly killed by Rohit Varma by slitting his throat. His body was recovered from the fields in Rasoolpur village late on Friday night, they said.

Rohit was taken into custody from his relative Satish Varma's house in Rasoolpur this morning, police said.

During interrogation, he confessed to the crime.
