Office burgled inside Rashtrapati Bhavan
The office of President Pratibha Patil's Officer on Special Duty was burgled in the high-security Rashtrapati Bhavan complex.
Burglars struck at the highly secure premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan, or President’s House, on Wednesday, police said.

They walked away with a computer from the office of Wing Commander Vikram Dutta, President Pratibha Patil’s Officer on Special Duty.
Dutta’s office is located in the health club of the presidential estate, from where the thieves also stole six dumb-bells, said Shankar Dash, Additional Commissioner of Police (New Delhi).
“It looks like the job of an insider,” Dash said, as the thief managed to walk away with the items without being questioned.
A case was registered on September 4.
Tasmim Ahmed, caretaker of the health centre, had given the office keys to a Central Public Works Department (CPWD) employee to clean the area after rainwater accumulated inside, police said.
When Ahmed came on duty the next day he found the doors of the health centre open and some items missing, said a police officer.
“We have definite clues in the case and will arrest the accused soon,” said the officer.
The police are questioning security personnel posted at the health centre and analysing the recordings of the Close Circuit Television Camera at the President’s House.
