Only way is for PM to quit: BJP

BJP president Rajnath Singh said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should introspect about his position, adding that resigning would be the only option before him if he thought about it honestly. HT reports.

BJP president Rajnath Singh said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should introspect about his position, adding that resigning would be the only option before him if he thought about it honestly.

“I appeal to the Prime Minister to introspect what should be done to revive people’s faith in the system,” Singh said.

He added that the outgoing law minister should reveal the name of the person for whom he took the fall. Singh, however, stopped short of expressly demanding the PM’s resignation.

He also announced that the BJP would launch a nationwide stir against the UPA government from May 27 to June 2.
