Passenger ‘murders’ auto-rickshaw driver

A 44-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was stabbed to death by an unidentified passenger in the Capital near Police Bhavan in Central Delhi on Wednesday.

A 44-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was stabbed to death by an unidentified passenger in the Capital near Police Bhavan in Central Delhi on Wednesday.

The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday in Kamla Market and the victim has been identified as Luvkush Kumar, a resident of Shastri Park.

Kumar was driving the auto rickshaw when he rammed his vehicle into a car.

The auto turned turtle after the accident and locals rushed him to the LNJP Hospital.

After examining the victim, doctors declared him brought dead.

They also told police there was a deep stab wound on Kumar’s back suggesting that he was attacked from behind.

The official said Kumar appears have to been stabbed by a passenger who was travelling in his vehicle.

“We are investigating the case and inquiring with his family to know if he had any personal rivalry,” said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity.
