LJP chief Ramvilas Paswan demanded the resignation of Mayawati-led government in Uttar Pradesh over the lynching of an engineer allegedly by a ruling BSP MLA and demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder.

LJP chief Ramvilas Paswan on Thursday demanded the resignation of Mayawati-led government in Uttar Pradesh over the lynching of an engineer allegedly by a ruling BSP MLA and demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder.

Addressing a press conference here, Paswan said UP Chief Minister Mayawati and her government should resign.

He also demanded a CBI inquiry into killing of the PWD Executive Engineer M K Gupta in Auraiya district of UP yesterday after he reportedly refused to pay money allegedly demanded by BSP MLA Shekhar Tiwari for Mayawati's birthday celebrations.
