The minimum temperature was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.

"Today's weather was awesome. A perfect setting forshopping for Diwali," said Madhumita Sinha, a housewife residing in South-Ex.

The day was clear with the morning mist giving way to a bright afternoon in stark contrast to the smog that had enveloped the city just three days ago.

The Weatherman has predicted similar conditions for Monday with mercury wavering between 14 and 30 degrees Celsius.

"The morning hours may witness mist or shallow fog but the Delhi skies will be clear as the day progresses," the official on duty at the Met Department said. There is no prediction for rain.
