PM meets President ahead of US, Brazil visit

Ahead of his two-nation visit beginning Saturday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday met President Pratibha Patil and discussed various issues including internal security and Indo-Pak matters.

A Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said the meeting meeting lasted for about an hour.

"The two leaders discussed about the upcoming Session of Parliament, and the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Washington for Nuclear Security Summit and Brazil for IBSA and BRIC Summit," the spokesperson said.

They also discussed about matters relating to rise in prices, internal security, Indo-Pak issues and other matters of national and international importance.
