Jai Prakash, 44, Sandeep Saxena, 42, Manish Sharma, 27 and Narender Kumar, 49 were apprehended from Shastri Nagar on Thursday for allegedly betting during the match between the Pune Warriors India and the Deccan Chargers on April 26, police claimed.

"A TV, 19 mobile phones, a laptop and 12 calculators among other articles were seized from their hideout at a small rented flat. The match summary report of total betting till the time of the raid was found to be between Rs 80-82 lakh," said a senior police officer.
According to police, the gang had taken the flat on rent to avoid detection by the police. While one mobile phone, according to police, was being used as the 'Dabba' or the Voice Hot Line Box for receiving information about the prevailing rates, other phones were being used for accepting bets.
