Police crack down on illicit liquor

Over the past four days, the South district police have seized 3,617 250ml, 792 500ml and 84 1l (143 cartons) bottles of illicit liquor and arrested 16 persons in connection with its supply during the MCD election campaign.

Nine vehicles being used in transport of the liquor were also confiscated, PS Kushwah, additional DCP (south), said.

The Hari Nagar police arrested Anil Singh, who was allegedly involved in sale of illegal liquor in the Capital. Eleven cartons of illegal liquor were recovered from him.
