On September 19, Mohammad Saif was arrested from the Batla House flat and Zeeshan Ahmed was arrested later in the evening. Their police remand ends on Friday.
The police said the two suspected terrorists have not been able to bust the entire module of the Indian Mujahideen (IM), a terror outfit allegedly involved in serial blasts across the country.
“The two suspects are wanted in five cases in Delhi. There is much more we want to know from them,” said a senior police officer.
The police said there were two definite modules of the IM — one that planted explosives in Surat and the other that is active in south India.
“They might be other modules of the IM, but we are definite about the existence of these two modules,” said the officer.
The other three accused — Zia-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Shakeel and Saqib Nissar — would be produced in court on Monday.
