"The gang had a peculiar modus operandi to carry out its smuggling operation. The drug was being smuggled as parcels through the Indian Postal Services all the way from Orissa to Delhi," said Neeraj Thakur, Additional Commissioner of Police (crime).

The police have arrested Shafi Islam (25), Satpal Mann (55), the postman, Jaffar Ali (32) and Ganesh (35) from the Burari post office on a tip-off on Tuesday. "The gang had been operating for the past six months and 140 kg of ganja worth Rs 5 lakh in the black market have been recovered from them," Thakur said.
