Prepaid users to get call details

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has made it a must for mobile phone operators to provide prepaid users updates of calls made and data downloads every time they use voice and data services.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has made it a must for mobile phone operators to provide prepaid users updates of calls made and data downloads every time they use voice and data services.

The information, to be sent by SMS, will include the duration of calls or data use, the quantity of data, the charges deducted and the remaining balance.

Subscribers can also get item-wise data of their calls and data use on request within 30 days by paying charges not more than Rs50.
