President Pratibha Patil has sent her good wishes and flowers to Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan who had developed a stomach ailment and has ben advised bed rest.

The President has sent her good wishes along with flowers to the actor, Rashtrapati Bhavan sources said on Thursday.

Bachchan has been advised a few days of bed rest by doctors and is under medical observation after he returned home from London two days ago.

Bachchan wrote in his blog that “the tests have been conducted. They do not show anything alarming but the symptoms persist, albeit on a lesser scale than last time.”

The actor was scheduled to travel to Singapore for a shooting on Wednesday but has postponed the plan due to his illness.
