Rahul meets victim in AIIMS

All India Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday met the 14-year-old Dalit girl undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

All India Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday met the 14-year-old Dalit girl undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Both eyes of the girl were injured while resisting a rape attempt at her native village in UP last week.

The girl has suffered total loss of vision in her left eye. Gandhi went to the Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences in the morning around 10am and spoke to the girl and her parents.

He also spoke to the doctors on duty to inquire about her condition.
