Rajni Abbi at Gwangju Summit

Mayor Rajni Abbi called upon the international environment bodies and developed countries to financially and technically help developing countries in achieving Zero Waste Management and joining of rivers as part of their commitment to Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

"People in developing countries would greatly benefit in these critical areas with international assistance," said Abbi.
Abbi made these suggestions in her concluding address at Gwangju Summit of the Urban Environmental Accords, organised by UNEP.

At the summit, Abbi emphasised that countries all over the world stepped up their efforts to reduce green house gases and adapt to climate change.
