“The Samajwadi Party chief lived in the Maharani Bagh house, which was owned by some company. For the brief period that he stayed there, the rents were duly paid. The house was vacated a long time back. The party president has been living at his 16, Ashoka Road residence for the past several months”, Ram Gopal Yadav said.

“Singh is talking bunkum. It is below my dignity to respond to such irrelevant matters”, SP spokesman Mohan Singh said.

The Samajwadi Party president was unavailable for comments.

At a press conference at Lucknow on Monday, Singh had alleged that the Samajwadi Party chief had not handed over possession of the bungalow, which he had rented out to Yadav’s brother Ram Gopal Yadav.

He had also threatened to move court to take possession of the house.
