Rebuffed by lover, girl kills self in Naraina

Unable to accept her alleged boyfriend's denial for marriage, a 20-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her boyfriend's flat in southwest Delhi's Naraina on Saturday evening.

Unable to accept her alleged boyfriend's denial for marriage, a 20-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her boyfriend's flat in southwest Delhi's Naraina on Saturday evening.

According to the police, the victim was upset after her boyfriend rejected her marriage proposal because he was married.

The incident came to light at around 6.30 pm. The woman was identified as Ranjana, a resident of Naraina.

Police said Ranjana was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her boyfriend Vikas Jain's rented house in Naraina. Jain found her hanging after he returned home from office in the evening.
