The maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
The slight drop in temperature is expected to continue, with weather officials forecasting a partly clouded sky with possibility of light rain or thundershowers on Friday.
The maximum temperature could be around 39 degrees Celsius while the minimum is expected to be 27 degrees.
The temperature had soared to the season's highest of 41.1 degree Celsius on two days — Saturday and Tuesday — and had been crossing the 40 degree mark consistently for the last five days.
The minimum temperature on Thursday, however, was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal. Humidity also increased and oscillated between 72 and 39%.
