This year's alumni meet was kept in order to raise money for the victims of the Uttarakhand floods. "The idea of AHHA started in 1999 and we have been organising meets every year. Three years ago we decided that we will do a night stay in the hostel, where we spent our days before our graduation. And obviously, since we come from different backgrounds, we also take up social causes and that's why we organised to raise money for the Uttarakhand relief fund," Sandeep Srivastava, president, AHHA.

Nalin Singh who is another alumni from the college adds, "We have collected R10 crore from the alumni of AHHA and this money will go to the Prime-Minister's Relief Fund". Pankaj Kumar Singh, patron for AHHA, says, "We raised money for Orissa cyclone victims as well in the past. We keep doing this because we feel we have a responsibility to our society."
